Women’s style inspiration | Carin Wester S/S 2016 Christian August 28, 2015 Style, women As the Stockholm S/S 2016 fashion week has just ended, we are meticulously going through all collections which were presented, it’s always a good idea to get inspire by our scandinavian peers. For the occasion, we’ve came across the eponymous brand of the designer Carin Wester, she founded it in 2003 with the aim to produce modern classics with an explicit attention on shapes, prints and fabrics and the collections combines pretty well carefully chose shapes and colours to create a clean-cut look. For the S/S 2016 collection, the main theme go back over the early 20 century´s male sailor aesthetic and adapt it to a women´s wardrobe. The bottoms are oversized, the tops fitted, knits are light and silhouettes are composed with contrast: satin with knitted, mat with shiny, structured with flat surfaces. The collection as a whole delivers a elegant take on this sailor’s theme with a final touch of 60s cuts on the very feminine pieces.
