Women’s style inspiration | Joseph Pre-Fall 2016

Grew from a small shop attached to a hairdressing salon in England, owned by moroccan-born Joseph Ettedgui and his brothers , to many stores around the world, the fashion label Joseph has always been renowned for their avant-garde  approach of the fashion industry. For their pre fall 2016 collection, the label’s creative director Louise Trotter said she has been inspired by ” Pony Kids” and the photographer  Perry Ogden’s 1999 photographic study of Dublin’s working-class suburban pony owners. Indeed, the collection flawlessly combines menswear and womenswear aesthetics to create an unique line which seems pretty comfortable and easy to incorporate in our staple garments rotation.

Made up of a medley of trends, the collection exhibits a focus on oversized silhouettes, and the hybrid of the menswear and womenswear approach of the collection. We find the style direction clean, edgy and can definitely be a good source of  inspiration for both gender.
